Taylor Jacobs holds her Bachelors of Science degree in Psychology, a Masters of Science degree in School Psychology, and is a Board Certified Behavior Analyst.

Mrs. Jacobs has always had a desire to work with children and education, following in the footsteps of many family members.  While attending Colorado State University for her Bachelors degree Mrs. Jacobs' career path was directed by an opportunity to nanny for a preschool child with severe Autism. Deciding to become a school psychologist allowed Mrs. Jacobs to pursue her passions.  While pursuing her Master's degree in School Psychology from National University in San Diego, she worked as a paraprofessional in an elementary school. As a paraprofessional Mrs. Jacobs saw first hand the challenges teachers and staff face working with children that have diverse needs and the importance of behavioral management support.  Mrs. Jacobs worked for STAR Program, Inc. providing social skills training, in-home behavioral supports, and behavioral assessments to children on the Autism Spectrum in San Diego County. While working as a school psychologist Mrs. Jacobs continued to pursue her interest in Applied Behavior Analysis and behavioral strategies through Ball State University and became a Board Certified Behavior Analyst.

Since 2008, Mrs. Jacobs has worked with preschool through post-secondary students that struggle with a variety of disabilities including Autism Spectrum Disorders, ADD/ADHD, emotional disturbances, Sensory Processing Disorder, cognitive delays and other developmental disabilities.  Working as a direct provider in the classroom setting has helped Mrs. Jacobs see various areas in which schools often need additional support to help provide consultation and training to parents and educators.  She has provided monthly television news segments for CBS News 5 in Cheyenne, educating the community on issues such as Autism, child development, and behavior management.  Mrs. Jacobs has consulted with Wyoming Department of Health's Behavioral Health Division and the Wyoming Department of Education regarding assessments, eligibility and best practices.  She has provided assessment and consultation for Next Step Assessment Clinic, a division of WDE. The Clinic offers a transdisciplinary, play-based assessment designed to address areas of concern identified by the school and family. Information from the Next Step Clinic can be used to validate existing programming, identify areas of need, offer recommendations, resources and strategies for educational programming.  Mrs. Jacobs currently contracts with school districts in her region for psychological and behavioral services and provides supervision support for those pursuing board certification in ABA.

As a mother of three boys, a Psychologist, and a Board Certified Behavior Analyst I know first hand the joys and stressors of working with children.  Having a passion and the knowledge to help support and encourage parents and educators using ABA, I assist in cultivating and empowering lasting positive behavior changes. By not only modifying children's behaviors but also adults responses to these behaviors the quality of life can be improved for all. ~ Taylor
